Golan Heights Bill (Amendment - Development and Strengthening of the Golan Heights, and Establishing a Golan Heights Commemoration Day), 5785-2025

The bill seeks to enshrine in law the status of the Golan Heights as part of Israel, to strengthen its development and security, and to establish a special day to commemorate the Golan Heights. The government will act to promote the development and prosperity of the Golan Heights, while investing special resources in agriculture, the welfare of residents, nature conservation, and the strengthening of Jewish settlement. In addition, it is proposed to establish that every year, on the 10th of Tevet, a "Golan Heights Commemoration Day" will be held. If this day falls on a Sabbath, a holiday, a day of rest, or a national memorial day, the day will be commemorated on the following Tuesday.
