Discharged Soldiers (Reinstatement in Employment) Bill (Amendment - Extension of Protection Period Against Dismissal for Reservists and Their Spouses), 5784-2024

The bill expands protection against dismissal for reservists and their spouses. Currently, a reservist is protected from dismissal for 30 days after being discharged from reserve duty. The bill seeks to extend this period to 60 days. Additionally, the protection will also apply to the spouses of reservists for 30 days after the reservist is discharged from reserve duty. The protection applies to employees employed by an employer not related to the reserve service.
