Bill for Reducing the Monetary Compensation Amount for Traveling Without Validating a Ticket on Public Transportation (Legislative Amendments), 5783-2023

The law reduces the amount of the fine imposed on those who possess a periodic public transportation ticket but did not validate it on the designated device before the start of the trip. Instead of a fine of 180 NIS, the fine will be reduced to 20 NIS. The change applies to passengers who hold a valid periodic ticket (such as a monthly or annual pass) who did not validate it before the trip. The reduced fine will be imposed only in these cases, and not in cases of traveling without payment at all.
